There are several options for golfers who come to play in beautiful Costa Rica. Another beautiful course here in Costa Rica is The Hacienda Pinilla. Hacienda Pinilla, located in Santa Cruz, is a flatter layout. This course was designed by Mike Young. Holes 14 and 15 are ocean view and hole 15 is one of the most spectacular holes in all of Latin America.

The Four Seasons Resort is Costa Rica's newest Championship course was designed by Arnold Palmer and opened in the spring of 2004.

Canopy (Zipline) & Rafting Tours

The Congo Trail located in Octal, El Coco, Hermosa, Panama, Conchal, Brasilito, Flamingo, and Potreo begin with a brief hike up to the platforms where you are harnessed in and begin soaring through the trees. It is located about 45 minutes away from Flamingo. There are 11 cables and 12 platforms up in the rainforest so you will get a spectacular view of Costa Rica.

There are many bird sightings such as the Yellow–naped Parrot, White – fronted Parrot, and the Scarlet – Rumped Tanager. You will see snakes such as Pit vipers, Colubrids, Boas, Green Anacondas, Reticulated Python, and the Burmeese Pythons. There is also a butterfly garden where you can learn about the 17,000 species of butterflies and moths in Costa Rica.

You can observe the 4 stages of the butterflies (egg, larva, pupa, and adult) through the two most beautiful species, the Morpho Helenor (Morpho Mariposa Azul) and the Caligo Atreus (Mariposa Buo-Caligo). You can also see the Green and Black Poison Dart Frogs, Strawberry Poison Frog, Red-Eye Leaf Frog, Hourglass Tree Frog, and Reticulated Glass Frog. The Colorado Rafting and Canopy Tours

Starting at 7:45 am and ending at 4:30 pm. First, you will experience thrilling rapids through the Colorado River and through the rainforest. After rafting, lunch is provided. Then ending the day with a canopy tour soaring over Colorado River.

Tenorio River

If you are looking for BIG water for rafting, then you should explore the Tenorio River. This 8 mile rafting trip takes you down twist, turns, drops, and beautiful scenery through the rainforest. The scenery will leave you breathless. After rafting through class 3-4 rapids lunch is provided on the Corobici River Restaurant. This tour is for adventurous and serious rafters.

The Buena Vista Combo Tour

With canopy tour and hot springs. beginning at 7:15am and returning at 5:45pm. The morning begins with a canopy tour through the rainforest and venturing to a waterslide that is ¼ miles long. Lunch is provided. Then mount up for a 45 min horseback ride to the hot springs where you can relax in the water pools that are heated through volcanoes.

The Arenal Volcano and Hot Spring Tour

This full day tour begins at 7:45 am and returns at 11:00pm. Touring through the jungle and discovering the rain forest at El Silencio Private Reserve at the bottom of the Alrenal volcano, you will see many wildlife sighting. The tour ends with a thermal mineral hot spring for relaxing after a day of hiking.

Miravalles Waterfall and Hot Springs Tour

Another hot spring tour is the Miravalles Waterfall and Hot Springs Tour. You will see 3 magnificent waterfalls while hiking through the jungle and active Volcano Miravalles. Here, you can go through hot springs, bubbling mud pots, fumaroles and feel the steam coming from the earth. You can also relax in the mineral hot springs and become rejuvenated by the therapeutic properties of the volcanic mud and sulphurous waters.

Rincon de la Vieja

Is a beautiful tour that takes you to the nearest active volcano in Guanacaste. Here you will see volcanic activity like fumaroles, mud pots, and bubbly hot waters. You will hike 2 miles to explore the rainforest and look for wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, agouties, and various birds.

Monteverde The Cloud Forest

For luscious green views of mountains, be sure to check out Monteverde (Cloud Forest). This tour is offered on Wednesdays. You will leave at 5:30 am and return at 8:00pm. Walking through the hanging bridges, you will see palms, ferns, flowers, ancient trees, and hummingbirds in the Selvatura Reserve. After a provided lunch, you can take a stroll through the butterfly garden.

Palo Verde

Is a great tour for families who are seeking adventure with crocodiles and monkeys. Palo Verde is offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays leaving at 7:45 am and return at 3:00pm. You will take a boat tour on the longest river of the northwest part of Costa Rica. On the boat tour, you can see crocodiles, various species of birds, and monkeys. After the boat tour lunch is provided and you will make a stop a local pottery place where you see how Costa Rican pottery is made and designed. You will learn a great deal of knowledge about Costa Rica as a country and its history.

Nicaragua

A tour of Nicaragua is also offered on Wednesdays. Upon traveling to Nicaragua, you will leave at 5:30 am and return 9:00pm. You will visit Granada which is one of the oldest cities in Latin America. Granada is located south of Managua (which is the capitol of Managua). You will discover historic architecture, drive alongside a volcano and observe the Santiago crater. Shopping for hammocks, ceramics, carved wood works, embroidery dresses and tapestries.

Diving, Snorkeling, Sailing, and Sunsets Tours

Costa Rica Diving, at the famous Catalina Islands, is world class. Thre are three large, custom dive boats that are 28, 35 and 40 feet. The scuba center is 15 minutes away from the Catalina Islands at Flamingo Beach and they offer packages for individuals, groups, families & honeymoon couples.

The Aguacenter Diving in flamingo offers many options for diving where you are certified or want to become certified. This center offers snorkeling, scuba diving instruction for both certified and uncertified divers, to even a 5 day certification course to become certified. The certification course includes all 5 modules of theory, 5 pool sessions and 4 open water dives. The course also includes an Open Water Diver card and manual and dive tables.

The Hibiscus sailing boat is a 48ft Admiral catamaran that can hold up to 40 passengers. Third lung diving, snorkeling, swimming and kayaking are offered on this amazing tour. There are 4 state rooms, 4 bathrooms, and a shower aboard. The Hibiscus is the largest catamaran available for charter.
