We recommend you land at the Juan Santamaria Airport, the San Jose International Airport (SJO) that is closest to the capital city of San Jose, in the central valley. Start your journey in Costa Rica by exploring San Jose. Begin your day by taking a trip around the Barrio Amon area, located in the city’s historic center. Here you’ll discover vibrant colonial buildings, tiny cafés, numerous restaurants with diverse cuisine, and enchanting art galleries.

Teatro Nacional

You should not pass up the opportunity to see the renowned Teatro Nacional, which is a superb neoclassical theater that showcases the substantial cultural heritage of Costa Rica.
