Corobici Class 1-2 Floating Trip
The Corobici River is fed by the virgin mountains of the Tenorio volcano and is part of the greater Tempisque Conservation Area which also includes the Palo Verde National Park and protects Central America’s most important nesting grounds for migrating water birds.
Whether you like to spot tropical birds, reptiles, monkeys or just have fun while navigating through the mellow but exciting rapids of this Class 1-2 river…you will be in the right place!
This is a tour for the whole family (regardless of age) and your guide will do the rowing and also spot the plentiful wildlife along the ride. You could expect to see lots of waterbirds, like herons, egrets, ibis, roseate spoonbills, storks, kingfishers and also raptors, flycatcher, trogons and maybe even owls, toucans and parrots.
Howler Monkeys, White-aced Capuchins, Iguanas, Bats, Jesus Christ Lizards and Crocodiles are all common spottings and occasionally be see white-nosed coatis and the endangered river otters.
After two hours on this pristine river we will have a traditional costarican “Casado”, which is a combination of rice, beans, salad, plantain, vegetable stew and a protein choice (fish, pork, chicken or beef).
