Learn to Surf in Costa Rica!

Surf Lessons for Beginners – Special Tours for Intermediate / Advanced

Anyone can learn to surf in Costa Rica. There are many small wave beaches with sandy bottoms which makes them perfectly safe for beginner wipeouts.  Soft, sandy bottoms remove any chance of our new surfers becoming shredded on a reef!

North Pacific Surf is a professional surf school and all instructors are very experienced on the local waters of Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Surf Tours and lessons for all ages and levels (starting at 4yrs old).   Learning to surf is a fantastic form of exercise and is fun for all ages.  Your safety is our primary concern and we provide local CPR certified and bilingual instructors as part of the service.

We will hold the beginner’s classes at either Playa Grande or Playa Tamarindo, depending on the tides and weather.  Lessons are two hours long.  First of all, we will start with some basic beach training to show you the proper way to get up onto the board.  Then we will move out into the surf and get you up on the water in no time!

Surf Tours for intermediate or advanced surfers can be arranged with us for other local beaches.
