A view of over 180 degrees of the ocean is breathtaking. The home is beautiful, updated and unquestionably a once-in-a-lifetime vacation home.
This will go down as the nicest home we have ever spent time in, on vacation.
Although it’s only a short walk either by beach or road to the vibrant restaurant scene in Playa Flamingo, the orientation of the house and grounds that are perched above the beach provides a tranquil and serene setting. Whether you are sitting by the large infinity pool or in the house with the sliding glass doors open, you are surrounded by the sound of the surf and chirping of all the colorful birds in the fruit trees that dot the landscape. The sunsets over the Pacific were spectacular. We watched sunsets in Puerto Vallarta just before our visit and in Naples, Florida just after our visit, and for some reason, the views from Villa la Sata were the best.
When we arrived at the Villa, I was happy avoid the grand spiral staircase and take Robin’s over- packed suitcase to the elevator to our guest room. The room, shower and closet were all spacious and first class.
We attended a dinner party at the villa. It was held on the top floor of the guest house, which is a shaded, open air pavilion. A wide bridge from the first floor of the main house takes you to the roof top setting, which has equally great views of the Pacific as the main house. The roof top can accommodate a very large group, and was the perfect setting for our party.
We went to restaurants for most of our other dinners. Within a short drive were a half dozen great places. We always chose to dine outside, dipping our toes in the sand on the beach while we had our meal.
Villa la Sata is a very special place.
The fact that you can see the water as the front gate opens and from every room is why I would consider this the Gem of Flamingo. I’ve never experienced anything like the sunsets here as well. As a videographer and photographer it was more than just a paradise it was Heaven.
Rating 5 stars all around!
We stayed at Villa La Sata, in Costa Rica for a few days in February. It is a very special place which is beautifully appointed with detail after detail. I can’t imagine a better location in the world to soak up the sun on its terraces, perched on a cliff overlooking a mile or so of wonderful beach. We had magnificent sunsets every night that were among the best I have ever seen. My wife was in heaven as she cannot miss a sunset.
Atop the guest house is a fabulous open, covered, entertainment area complete with bar and dinning area where we had dinner one night and often visited to take in the views. The surrounding area in and near Flamingo has a multitude of fantastic restaurants which were waiting our discovery. If I were asked to rank this property and experience, I would give it a 5 Star. I would be open to talk to anyone about this special place.
