Rio Colorado River Rafting Trip – Class 2-3

“Rio Colorado” is a pristine white-water river that originates from inside the “Rincon de la Vieja” National Park and its powerful flow has cut a deep canyon into the countryside along its way down from the mountain.

You need to be in good shape to manages this pounding white water!

This perfect introduction to the beautiful sport of rafting will take us navigating down the fun class 2-3 rapids (during approximately 1hr) and enjoy the views of the breathtaking canyon that surrounds us.

Don’t worry if you do not know how to paddle, because you will have a guide with you.  If you are not comfortable rafting, problemo!  You can instead choose to travel down the river on your own personal inner-tube!  A lot of fun for anyone!

 

You’ll also have the choice of rafting in the two-man raft with your own personal guide behind you to maneuver the rapids, or use an inner tube.  Either way, you’ll go over five miles of class II and III rapids on the Colorado River surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Along the way you can stop at a calm portion of the river to rock jump and rope swing into the river.

For those who would rather not climb into a raft, you can sit atop your very own personal inner-tube!

After the action we will have a delicous Costa Rican lunch buffet with great choices of soup, salads, rice, beans, potates, vegetables and either fish, chicken, beef and/or pork.

Important Information:

  • This is a FULL DAY tour
  • Driving time from Flamingo: 1:20hrs (PICKUP: 8:30am)
  • Minimum age for rafting: 6 years
  • Minimum Attendance: 4 persons

Rate: $100/adult, $70/child
