Colibri #9 is a newly renovated, two-bedroom unit located in the safe, secure, and easily accessible Las Palmas community. This stunning unit is within walking distance from the beach, shopping, and dining in Coco, making it the perfect launching point for your vacation in Guanacaste!

This 840-square-foot (77.9 square meters) ground-floor unit has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. The entire home was renovated in 2024 with brand-new furniture, modern appliances, comfortable linens, beautiful decor, and local artwork that reflects the “pura vida” lifestyle of Costa Rica.

The primary bedroom has a queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom, and the guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The living room has a brand-new television and natural wood furniture that has been locally designed in Costa Rica. The renovated kitchen offers updated cabinets, flooring, and appliances, including an oven, stovetop, and double-door refrigerator, for a sophisticated, modern feel. The breakfast bar in the kitchen comfortably seats five guests.

The unit’s back patio opens from the kitchen and is enclosed with a bamboo screen to create a serene, private outdoor living space. It features a wooden dining set that seats six and a brand-new BBQ grill. The front patio opens to a lush, beautiful garden that is steps away from the community’s pristine swimming pool and parking spaces, which are shared with guests from the 12 other units in the complex.

Pet-friendly policy

We welcome your furry friends at our property! Before you book, each pet must be verified and approved based on breed and size (max 35 lbs.), accompanied by a recent photo. A refundable pet fee of $200 per stay, along with an additional cleaning fee of $50 + 13% per pet, is required to ensure our home remains pristine for all guests. We allow up to two pets per reservation. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas within the property grounds. Certain properties and complexes may have specific rules and registration requirements. Pets need to be verified at least 24 hours prior to check-in. If guests arrive at check-in with unverified pets, access to the property will be denied.

Owners are responsible for their pets’ behavior and any damages incurred. Pets should not be left unattended within the property. For any questions or further details about our pet policy, feel free to contact us!

1. PAYMENT – An advance payment equal to 50% of the total rental rate is required to secure the reservation. The advance payment will be applied toward the house rent. Payments can be made in the form of a wire transfer, credit card or cashier's check. The advance payment is not a damage deposit. The BALANCE OF RENT is due thirty (30) days before your arrival date. Monthly Rentals: Monthly rentals can be subject to extra fees as electric consumption and/or cleaning fees.

Animal or Pet Policy
Animals or pets are generally not allowed at the Property, with the following exceptions:
  • Animals authorized in your reservation.
  • Bona fide service animals required by law.
Emotional support animals are not permitted, except as authorized pets. It's important to note that the absence of animals does not guarantee the absence of animal or pet allergens in the Property. If you're traveling with pets, there might be an extra cleaning fee and a higher security deposit to consider. Approval for bringing pets is decided by SPCR's discretion. To seek approval, guests need to provide details like the breed, weight, and a photo of the pet. This policy is designed to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests while maintaining the quality of the rental experience.
Things to Note
Special Places of Costa Rica is committed to protecting our properties and complying with short-term rental regulations, which is why all guests are required to complete an independent verification with our trusted partner, TRUVI, before check-in. You will be contacted via email, text, or app notification with instructions to complete this process. As part of the verification, you will need to choose between paying a refundable security deposit (which includes a non-refundable 2% processing fee) or purchasing a non-refundable damage waiver, which protects you in case of accidental damage during your stay. We strongly recommend the damage waiver, as it provides peace of mind and avoids tying up funds with a deposit. Both the TRUVI verification and your selection of either the deposit or the damage waiver must be completed prior to your arrival. Beautifully appointed and really well equipped. No beach towels. Easy walk to the beach. Very friendly community.Close to coffee shop, small grocery store, plazas with restaurants etc. Enjoyed the pool. Be aware there are a few stairs (1st set no railing). If not told, ask where the laundry card is kept. Good communication and they went above and beyond to fix a problem. Recommend this place and I would stay here again.

Condo was neat, clean and efficient! Two bedrooms with baths were perfect for two couples. All fixtures and appliance worked very well. Super easy to walk in and start our stay. Even easier to depart. Condo had for our convenience beach items that made our stay fantastic and easy. Condo had all the items we needed for our stay. For us the location was great. Easy to visit to multiple beaches. So close to the Liberia Airport. We didn’t stay on the property to eat or be entertained, very reasonable with great efficiency! Property was well maintained and Condo inside was very well maintained. Recommend this condo for all of the points above, thank you for a pleasant stay.

Great place! Exactly like the pictures. Close to stores, beach and restaurants while being in a quiet and safe area. Pool is great and the terrace is perfect!

Nous avons été très contents de notre séjour. Appartement impeccable, piscine sublime, près de la plage. Quelques problèmes avec le wifi, mais compte tenu du reste, c’était très bien quand même!
