What does the word “scuba” actually mean?

The word SCUBA stands for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus. Prior to the advent of scuba, divers had to rely on a tethered hose to the surface that supplied their air to breath.  With scuba, you are free to move around completely unencumbered!  The variety of aquatic life in this ocean is astounding and you are lucky to experience all it has to offer with this half day tour.

Note: This tour is only to experience scuba diving in Costa Rica and does not result in any type of certification.  If you are interested in becoming certified in Costa Rica, head over to our PADI Open Water Scuba Certification course.
